Fairy Tale Honey
My honey is called Fairy Tale Honey. We use it at home
and I give it as gifts. You can get some, too. A fairy
picture I drew is on the front of every bottle and a fairy
story I made up is on the back. Inside is pure sweet
honey.
I like honey on toast. My mom likes it in her tea. My
dad just sticks his finger in the jar no matter how many
times we tell him not to! But one thing's for sure--we all
love honey!
This is me in my beekeeping outfit. My bees are
beautiful and gentle and they work very hard to gather
nectar for honey.
There is a very limited supply of Fairy Tale Honey. In season (usually beginning in
mid-August) it is sold at Heyser Farms and at O'Keefe Orchards. See the contact page for
more information.
Honey is food the bees store and eat. The color depends on the type of flower. Some is nearly
clear and some is very dark. Honey will last a very long time. If it crystallizes you can keep
using it that way or just put the bottle in warm water and it will dissolve as good as new. You
shouldn't feed honey to children under one year old.
